
The clients were very generous in allowing me to make some unusual design choices, including using metallic ink on the two-color outer and lots of illustrative flourishes throughout. They were very interested in testing both messages and offers which meant lots of versioning!
This direct mail package promoted subscriptions to the newly launched Lion’s Roar – an independent, bimonthly magazine offering a nonsectarian view of “Buddhism, Culture, Meditation, and Life.” Presented are teachings from the Buddhist and other contemplative traditions, with an emphasis on applying the principles of mindfulness and awareness practices to everyday life.
